Honey and Lemon

Studies on honey have shown that honey is enriched with antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antitoxic, healing, moisturizing and blood-purifying properties. Honey is beneficial for all skin related diseases. Hence, this mixture of honey and lemon acts as a moisturizer and conditioner for the lips.

Use: Add a spoonful of  honey to one teaspoon lemon juice and mix well. After making the mixture, apply it on the lips and leave it for an hour. Then wipe it off with a soft cloth or wet cloth after an hour. You can apply this mixture as many times a day as you want.

Cucumber Juice

Cucumber is rich in vitamin-C, K, magnesium, potassium and manganese, 96 percent water in it, so applying it on the lips makes the lips soft and shines in it. Cucumber has cleansing properties, which help in removing toxins. Also, its fresh juice gives full nutrition to the skin. Hence, this pack will be helpful in keeping both the face and lips clean and healthy. At the same time, cucumber is also very beneficial in removing skin irritation and inflammation. Cucumber has the ability to heal the effects of sunburn to a great extent.

Use: Take cucumber juice and keep it in the fridge to cool down. When the juice cools down, apply it on your lips with cotton. Leave the juice on for 20 to 30 minutes and then wash off with water.

Rice  flour and Raw Milk

Rice flour contains skin whitening agents. Its blackness can be removed by applying it on the lips. At the same time, raw milk moisturizes the lips, due to which the lips do not crack and look pink.

Use: Make a paste by mixing 1 teaspoon milk in 1 teaspoon rice flour. Apply this mixture on the lips and scrub for 2 minutes and then after 10 minutes clean the lips with water. You should do this process regularly once a day.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera contains a flavonoid called aloesin, which reduces the process of pigmentation. Apart from this, aloe vera gel helps in retaining its nutrients along with healing the skin. Use: Apply aloe vera gel on the lips and let it dry. Then after some time, wash it off with lukewarm water. It can be used once daily.

Papaya and Honey

A good amount of vitamin-C is found in papaya. It reduces the melanin of the skin. If your lips have turned dark due to hyperpigmentation, you can make them pink again by following this home remedy.

Use: Mash the papaya (it is better if you use ripe papaya) now add 1/2 tbsp honey to the mashed papaya. Apply this mixture on your lips and massage gently. Wash the lips after 10 minutes. You should do this process regularly once a day.

Almond oil

Almond oil, rich in Vitamin E, brightens the skin and maintains its elasticity. Almond oil is rich in emollient properties (skin softening and relaxing), which can even out the skin tone and provide tightening. This is the reason why almond oil is used to remove the blackness of the lips and to make dry lips soft.

Use: Take one or two drops of almond oil on your finger and apply it on the lips. Then massage it for a minute or two and leave it on the lips overnight. You can use almond oil every night before sleeping to get rid of dark lips.
